What the Now
First week of work post vacation went as well as could be expected. There was a surprise leadership change. Things that weren't an emergency when I left were now a big deal. Received an aggressive timeline for a software change that I don't know how I'm going to accommodate it. But overall, it wasn't as bad as I was expecting.
I was able to deep dive into a couple of projects where we desperately need to apply some automations. I'll work to carve out time this week to make that happen. We need stable automations or this work is unsustainable.
This week is about figuring out what to delegate and what, if any projects I can get across the finish line.
Personally, I've been working in studying for Jeopardy. I've been bingewatching the months of episodes that I have on the DVR. I feel like alot of my old neural pathways for trivia are reengaging. But there us still alot to learn.
Also, there is a sketchbook that is screaming at me to finish. Just 3 little pages and it's done. I should have worked on it today, but there were other priorities.
